Do you remember the Marcels' version of Blue Moon? www.youtube.com/watch?v=7giOrKYIwpQI found this original recording (1961) among my 45's. It's a hand-me-down from my older cousin. This is one of my all-time favorite songs. Top 25 for sure. Most certainly do. They play it a lot on the oldies station up in Knoxville. That's the version I recall hearing first. I didn't hear the Elvis version until afterwards. I like that better, but I meant that the song itself is one of my favorites.

And I'll give you a hint. That solar system ain't the one with Wingnuttia. That was the female planet. This is the male planet.

I don't know if Ed is modulating his voice appropriately for television.
This show is pretty raw. But then, I didn't see the first three years of Countdown, either.

Lars Larson (sp?) has it wrong. Employers love the illegals.

Lars Larson (sp?) has it wrong. Employers love the illegals. That's absolutely right. They say one thing out loud and do another thing quietly.

And now for a change of pace: the first movement of Ludwig von Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata." www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2cFEHM9yMwWithout a doubt, some of the sexiest music ever written. It was given the title "Moonlight" by a music critic who said it reminded him of moonlight over the peaceful Lake Lucerne, but there's a strong passionate undertow in its measured richness that's anything but tranquil.

This is the point in the proceedings where a white chocolate martini might be VERY welcome. And these "moon pies" are half red velvet and half white under the white and dark chocolate frosting. Like half moons.

I can't relocate that tart, Linda, but I'm going to guess whipped cream. Interestingly, over the last couple of weeks I've discovered that a google search on my PC at work yields a different result than my PC at home. So when I was looking for that, which I couldn't find, I found this white chocolate dip thing with grapes. The connection between the Moon and grapes ought to be obvious.

The Larson guy is a sleaze bag. I've never liked people who smile whenever they're being mean. You know them, I'm sure. The ones who fall back on "jes' kiddin'" when they attempt to insult you with a smile on their two faces.

Lying and making people think you're telling the truth is one thing; telling the truth in a way that people think you're kidding is the real art form. Larson is NOT good at it.

(I didn't see Countdown for the first three years either.) Meanwhile, you will recall I said that Schulz kind of reminds me of the late Jerry Clower, only not funny? Here's a story by Jerry Clower, one of my favorites: "A New Bull." www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IlW9velocMThey even sort of look alike: Schultz on the left, Clower on the right. Only Schultz don't have that wonderful Mississippi drawl.

This is my interpretation of volcanic activity on Io. They've actually photographed it ... it's called the Prometheus Plume. I had to leave this large enough so you could see the plume.

I'm surprised that you didn't see KO from the beginning. I started watching MSNBC years ago. My favorite was Charles Grodin.
