There was a time not too long ago, when my life revolved around baseball. The Braves were my team. Mine too. They pissed me off when they traded Andruw Jones away, but I quit watching them in total disgust when they let John Smolz get away. He was my favorite Brave.

Chocolate bananas in two forms ... Those dripping in chocolate look especially delicious. Uh-huh------What went with the drool icon? Or do I need to retrieve it from Krista's?

I agree with you about Andruw and John.

I don't like the DH particularly either. But I do like our current DH-Jim Thome. And if the Sox are not in it, I don't necessarily root for the AL.

Uh-oh. Boston now leading 7-4. If I go away, it is because my tears have shorted out my computer.

The Delmore Brothers didn't seem to take off, so how about this undoubtedly sexist, purportedly pedophiliac, 1958 rockabilly hit from Johnny Horton? www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwdFwZPNUfw

I was a season-ticket holder for 25 years of our local AAA team. For years they played at a third-rate college park until a state of the art park was constructed. I lasted only one season at the new park. There was no atmosphere. It felt almost like theatre instead of a sporting event.

I'm so sick of hearing about "death panels". At this rate, the pundits are more likely to bore me to death.
