Felice and Boudleaux wrote nearly all of the Everly Brothers' early hits. They seemed to have a knack for exploiting those angelic Kentucky mountain harmonies, as in this song, "Devoted to You." www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt-kM3Prb04

Countdown is talking about the Rockefellers not being progressive and then citing their ties to the oil industry (Standard Oil, I believe), but wasn't the original Kennedy fortune grounded in oil, too? Just wondering.

I'll be a monkey's uncle! It's raining. Really?! If I were you, after dessert, I'd go out and stand in it.

Some simple desserts tonight. I hope you don't mind. You know, Fair, the reason I never hear the show anymore is because the concert is ALWAYS better. Oh, no, not at all. This kind of simple is perfect. Thanks, Moon. You know what would be cool? Some night when he's off, instead of doing news, let me do a Countdown Classics. Nothing but great old tunes. (With a little history thrown in.) Hey, the odds are astronomical against, but heck, a girl can dream.

Just wondering. Nope. Bootlegging. And Old Joe married into money, too. Honey Fitz was NOT a puir ol' Irishman.

KO's doing Beck Part II. Last night's segment was the funniest I've heard in over a year. LoL Does anyone on the right ever parody Olbermann the way he parodies them?

And according to Wiki, a little insider trading. Parties who live in glass houses ...

I'm so sorry, Fair. I was late getting home and working from memory. Apparently, in the future, I should forget that strategy.

This one has bourbon, although if that's not appropriate for a UT pre-game party, then I'll withdraw it. After I taste it.
