Wow. Just wow. Scary, indeed. She qualifies, and I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up on Countdown's list. It just goes to show how the party that claims to be on the side of people, strong, and unafraid of the boogeyman is anything but.

Sure. They talk to Joe. Every day. Some days he's just a schoolyard bully, and other days he's a real rethug, in the worst sense of that word. I saw part of that segment, including the couple the article mentions and another guy who claimed to be for McCain, and I didn't see anyone who was rude to him. Then I went into the bathroom, and when I came back out, they were having the conversation about it being "deeply disturbing." But frankly, I didn't see anything that was particularly disturbing, considering where they were. What would you expect? MSNBC should have made him do the same thing for Obama in a well-known republican neighborhood. Like the one where that trick-or-treat woman lived.

I saw that segment too about Willie on the street with his t-shirt. Joe and Mika practically called the people who voiced their dislike for McCain as too full of themselves. I didn't see it that way. There would have been I walking down the street and voicing my opinion..and I don't consider myself a person who is full of themselves. A Republican would describe people like us that way, my brother did recently. He's the only one that ever did and that was because I described people who at this point in the election are still on the fence idiots. They should have made up their minds long ago. He said some people just have a hard time deciding. I said not in an important event like this. He said I sounded like someone who things is better than everyone else. Not my style, but that's his opinion.

Agreed Katie. I guess they didn't see the video from the Obama rally where the guy showed up with a 10-foot tall anti-Muslem banner. A lot of the Obama supporters told him they respected his right of free speech. What if you went to a McCain rally with a 10-foot tall Obama sign? They would tar and feather you!!

Holy moly Batman-what kind of world do we live in? Thank goodness that it was only an isolated incident. I guess that would have been a good time to teach kids about acceptance and tolerance. I wonder, does this lady have any friends or family members that support Obama? She might be disowned from them if she does. Crazy!

I found the comments AFTER the video, to be disturbing and proof to me that so many on the right are absolutely WRONG! Dunno, maybe Scarborough and his bunch are upset because those folks were exercising their rights under the FIRST AMENDMENT (Note to Sarah Palin-THIS is what freedom of speech is)! I've heard, as I know you all have, so many horrible things about Barack Obama just based on the color of his skin and his middle name-apparently THAT is okay. Maybe I should forward that email I received to Joe Scarborough and let him know what kind of folks are behind his fellow Republican. I feel sad right now, but I have hope. My boys are getting quite excited that the elections are today-and we are 6+ hours ahead of where folks are voting. Last night before we went to bed and first thing this am, they asked if Barack Obama won with huge smiles on their faces-told them they had to wait until tomorrow.

No kidding. Here's what Bush says in this article about the "Mission Accomplished" banner -- "It was a sign aimed at the sailors on that ship however it conveyed a broader knowledge. To some it said 'well Bush thinks the war in Iraq is over' when I didn't think that. But nevertheless it conveyed the wrong message."And here's what he said at the time (straight from the transcript: www.cnn.com/2003/US/05/01/bush.transcript/) -- "[M]y fellow Americans, major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.
"And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country.
"In this battle, we have fought for the cause of liberty and for the peace of the world. Our nation and our coalition are proud of this accomplishment, yet it is you, the members of the United States military, who achieved it. Your courage, your willingness to face danger for your country and for each other made this day possible.
"Because of you our nation is more secure. Because of you the tyrant has fallen and Iraq is free.
"Operation Iraqi Freedom was carried out with a combination of precision and speed and boldness the enemy did not expect and the world had not seen before.
"From distant bases or ships at sea, we sent planes and missiles that could destroy an enemy division or strike a single bunker. Marines and soldiers charged to Baghdad across 350 miles of hostile ground in one of the swiftest advances of heavy arms in history.
"You have shown the world the skill and the might of the American armed forces.
"This nation thanks all of the members of our coalition who joined in a noble cause. We thank the armed forces of the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland who shared in the hardships of war. We thank all of the citizens of Iraq who welcomed our troops and joined in the liberation of their own country.
"And tonight, I have a special word for Secretary Rumsfeld, for General Franks and for all the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States: America is grateful for a job well done." So now, I guess, saying the job was "well done" didn't really mean "done." I know something about "well," and this certainly wasn't well, either. At least, not judging by today's news. It seems there's still a war going on. www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/11/12/iraq.violence/index.htmlI don't know so much about evil, but talk about delusional. Just thinking about it gives ME the creeps. I think America can do better than this. In fact, I think American has done better than this. Finally.

From Australia: www.smh.com.au/news/national/nobbys-beach-flasher-had-a-sauce/2008/11/20/1226770627447.html"Man caught with thingy in pasta jar ... near Nobbys Beach Stephen Ryan A man caught near Nobbys Beach with his thingy in a pasta sauce jar led police on a 20 kmh car chase, Newcastle Local Court heard yesterday. Police drew their weapons when they suspected Keith Roy Weatherley, 46, was armed. Instead, they found him partially clothed with his genitals in a jar, a police statement said. Weatherley, of Promontory Way, North Arm Cove, attracted attention parked in a no-stopping zone before noon on October 26. Police believed Weatherley was doing something with his hands in his lap and thought that he might have a weapon. Weatherley saw the police and drove away, despite them flashing their lights. The chase lasted five to 10 minutes, with a top speed of just 20 kmh, before Weatherley was stopped at Centenary Drive, Newcastle. He refused to leave the car. Four officers used batons and capsicum spray to remove him. They found a 750-millilitre jar around his thingy and noted that Weatherley attempted to continue "pleasuring himself in between bouts of wrestling". A search of his car uncovered pornography, a home-made sex aid, women's stockings and a Jack Russell terrier...." Oh, dear. I ordinarily don't check out the NY POST (after all, it IS a Murdoch rag), but this one came up at Yahoo, and I couldn't NOT check it out: www.nypost.com/seven/11262008/news/politics/let_santa_light_the_menorah_140965.htmThe Bushes invited a group of Jewish American leaders to the WH to a Hanukkah reception--that's okay. But you've got to admit, it IS a bit bizarre to do so with a card that shows the WH Christmas tree being delivered--

I don't know whether the Big Man will think the utilities board in Bay City, Michigan, are tomorrow's WPitWs, but I sure as hell do. news.aol.com/article/man-93-freezes-to-death-in-home/318210?icid=200100397x1216884474x1201142334A ninety-three year old man, on a limited income, froze to death because the utilities board cut back his electricity over unpaid bills. And the spokesperson for the bas*tards says that while it's unfortunate that the old man died, he doesn't think the utilities board "acted improperly." They ought to be put on trial for, at the very least, voluntary manslaughter. As f**kin' cold as it is in Michigan this time of year, they most certainly DID "act improperly."

I coudn't agree with you more, Katie. Man's inhumanity to man at its worst. I say chain 'em to a working outdoor fountain in Bay City and let the public throw whatever they want at the SOB's. Failing that an unheated cell in the state prison.
