Well, okay. No one is touching the beef or the stew ... so here's some baked salmon. I'm pretty sure that those little white pearls that look like cous cous are actually little, teeny, tiny Irish potatoes. I didn't even see the stew. Tonight, after turning the A/C way down low, I had some chili. Comfort food. My stomach's been badly upset all day, so I had eggs and toast. Comforting and easy.

Sigh. I'll make one more try. This is Dublin coddle ... Pancakes in mutton broth ... And some boxty bread (potato bread). I confess that I don't have a drop of Irish in me. Am I allowed to stay for dessert?

Confession time, ladies. Is anybody actually watching COUNTDOWN? Lady Fair is as usual not even in the same room. The TV is on, the sound is off and I'm sitting with my back to it. Why in h-ll is the TV even on? LOL I figured as much. We really are the bad girls of Countdown, aren't we? ;D

Yep. That, too. Okay, yeah, he's not as handsome as Hampson either. ;D That, my dear, is a matter of opinion.

Speaking of "not a drop of Irish" I remember something I read once in Reader's Digest about a Jewish politician who always proudly wore the green and marched in NYC's St. Patrick's Day parade. He had a special button--or sign he carried, can't remember which--that read Roses are red Violets are blueish A leprechaun told me Saint Patrick was Jewish

Does Ken Burns never get any older? Or does it just seem that way to me?

Mum always told me never to bring home an Irishman. I told my children never to bring home a Southern Baptist.

Goodness, look at the time. I have several desserts, starting with this Bailey's cake (what else?). Leftovers will be donated to charity (Daily Kos), so nothing will go to waste.

My Connemara and Guinness floats are also on the wrong thread. Is that where the Bailey's is, also? No, I was saving it for dessert. This called an Irish flag. And a little something for the purists.
