LOL--the lynx made me sort of nostalgic for another big lurking kitty--if you catch my drift--

.... possibly the scent of a lurking cougar on the breeze, keeping the trolls under their bridge...? btw, I like the trillium in your avatar. Do they grow at your end? I thought they were a northern flower, an artifact of the once and future ice age.

Trillium can be found in some of the mountains and knobs down here. A true treasure when found.

But with the sorry state NH's in these days, I doubt it's time for a return to cyberspace.

Trilliums are my favorite spring flower -- when you see them you know it's really spring. Here (western NY and PA) they can be locally abundant but you need to seek them out in isolated spots. And they do not care to be transplanted ... though I keep on trying. Probably a life lesson and a few state laws yet to be discovered in this endeavor.

I will bid all my lovlies a good night. Take some deep breaths, think of something happy and sweet dreams. My hubby is not feeling well so I best get by his side with the kitties, of course, and play doctor and nurses! Catch you all tomorrow.

Just a message, tooting my own horn as usual: I just posted my new favorite blog over at FW: fairweatherlewis.blogstream.com. It's right funny, even if I do say so myself, and would be right proud if you'd drop by and visit. Have a great PM all.

In the meantime this precious kitty (a kiss for kitty) looks like one of mine. I have four. Black cats being my favorite. Some people say they are a sign of bad luck..poppy co*ck. They've only brought me good luck. I've brought them all the best of luck, all four found as strays. See ya later!

For Star Wars fans -- www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/03/14/film.starwars.ap/index.html[George] Lucas offered a glimpse into the latest creation in his sci-fi universe at the theater-owners convention ShoWest on Thursday, showing a sequence from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," a computer-animated movie due in theaters August 15. It will be followed by a TV series of the same name, to air on the Cartoon Network and TNT this fall. The movie came about as an afterthought while Lucas was developing an animated TV show of the same name. That show debuts this fall, but Lucas figured it was ripe for big-screen treatment, too.... Lucas said he plans to produce at least 100 hours worth of TV episodes of "Clone Wars." He also is moving forward with a live-action "Star Wars" TV show focusing largely on new characters removed from the Skywalker family. That show will be set in the decades between "Revenge of the Sith" and the period when the original film, 1977's "Star Wars," takes place.

Hey, guys, listen to this.
"I admire anyone who has the nerve to put their name on a ballot. You're inviting fifty, fifty thousand, or one hundred and fifty million strangers to heave a tomato at you. Or worse - ignore you. It's appalling and amazing. It's ridiculous and irreplaceable. Hardly any of us wind up being Lincoln, Churchhill, or LaGuardia. Most of us aren't even Hoover or Carter. But so far, no one here has been Pol Pot or Stalin. Of course the game isn't fair. It favors the rich, the beautiful and the shameless. But everyone gets a chance to try."
Exceprt from "Windy City" the new novel from NPR host Scott Simon.

Bluebirds in our yard. They showed up one rainy AM last week--had the cat all shook up--and now they have a nest somewhere. They sit on the rearview passenger's side mirror of the car on guard duty. Other times they sit on the wires and in the persimmon tree at the bottom of the driveway and sing the sweetest little songs to each other--
