And here's another blue sky picture, just south of Montana in Wyoming. Mt. Moran and Jackson Lake. Just north of the Grand Teton, and another beautiful place at sunrise.

No idea where--I sorta just borrowed it and it was titled simply "Garden." That was easy once I figured out what I was doing. (I used Auntie's account, but she'll forgive me once she sees the pic.) I need to do my own account though. Thanks bunches.

If I'm correct all photos posted on photobucket become public and you can borrow and use them any way you want, except it would seem , for publication or advertisment where you get paid for them. I would think that is the only restriction. I'm not sure though.

Hey, Laura, thanks. Meanwhile, this one would be a good place to spend a rainy day: Just needs more plants. It would be wonderful.

I haven't tried to use the public images yet.

Having watched the movie Under The Tuscan Sun for about the 5th time last night, I've decided I'm off to Tuscany this week on a virtual vacation. I'll be looking for a villa to rent, so anyone here is welcome to join me..I'll have the grapes, cheese, wine, tea, diet coke and Tab ready..

There was a vineyard there that looked like that. When you find the villa, be sure to give us a holler. I'm sure we'll all be right along. The menu sounds perfect. Fun movie, by the way. I really like Diane Lane.

Is that the one where there's hot water bubbling in the toilet and Sandra Oh has the great line about that being a good thing "if you want to give your butt a facial"? I would love to see it, but since lightning fried my DVD player and I don't have any of the movie channels except TCM, ACM and FMC, it may be awhile-- Meanwhile, I thought this is the kind of luxury I could get used to--

A view from Twin Peaks; by far, the best place in San Francisco to really see how beautiful this city is!! “Twin Peaks in San Francisco has incredible panoramic views and sits at almost the geographic center of the City of San Francisco. Wtih a height of 922 feet - Twin Peaks has two summits used for both view residences and television / radio transmission towers. Atop the summit is a reservoir holding 14 million gallons of water for San Francisco hotels and homes. Many birds also enjoy Twin Peaks views.”

You're welcome, moon; I'm still trying to find a photo of the beautiful garden there, where the wedding ceremony was held. It was just spectacular to have the wedding and the reception at this gorgeous place; staying here was an extra treat!!

It was quite spectacular. Almost exactly like the picture. The weather was good for four days straight. San Francisco is amazing. Thank you for posting this, Pam.

I'm so glad you were there on a clear day; we used to just wait for those days, and evenings, when I was a teenager and in my early twenties. At night when it's clear, it's even more beautiful --the night view is my favorite!!

I was looking through photobucket for pictures of mansions, intending perhaps to use one to illustrate a haunted house from Auntie's hometown, but was distracted by this: a courtyard at The Breakers, one of the fantabulous mansions of Newport, Rhode Island, where the wealthy families of the late nineteenth century tried to overshadow each other in the expenditure of wealth on homes they used perhaps two months out of the year. The Breakers was built between 1893 and 1895 by Cornelius Vanderbilt II, the grandson of the old Commodore. Cornelius II is himself the great-grandfather of Anderson Cooper. The house is now a national landmark and owned by Newport's Preservation Society, so I don't guess we could persuade Anderson to invite us all over. But that's neither here nor there. If this courtyard had more shade, it would be a lovely place to retreat to. Take out some marble and add a few trees and it would be wonderful. Incidentally, North Carolina's Biltmore House was built by Anderson Cooper's great-uncle--the youngest brother of Cornelius II. Little Brother (whose name was George, BTW) built a house that dwarfs The Breakers, a cottage of some 65,000 square feet; Biltmore House is a whopping 175,000 square feet. I could very happily live out my days in a corner of the library at Biltmore--with side trips to the conservatory. But alas, I don't think Anderson will ever invite me on the fifty-cent tour there either. (To a hillbilly, the fifty-cent tour was, in the old days, the equivalent of being on a royal progress.)

Thanks katie. It's too bad Anderson won't be taking us on a tour. Biltmore House 175,000 sq. ft!! Can't even imagine if one lived there they'd be able to see it all. Such vulgar opulence. I thought Aaron Spelling building his mega-mansion was obscene at 54,000 sq. ft. It's got nothing on the blue-blood families of Newport. I'm sure the architecture is wonderful, the inside magnificant. So much history in these mansions. Funny how they all competed with each other to see who could build the biggest.

Tellico River, about twenty miles or so south of home. Running full like this, it's a soothing place to be. Would certainly be tonight.
