[/IMG]
I had a couple of kitty moments during my lunch hour today. I had to get some kitty litter, and someone had abandoned 2 grey kitties at the store with no food or water or anything. One was pretty friendly & curious, but the other was just absolutely petrified; the store employees were asking anyone & everyone going in the store if they wanted them. Also, there were 2 kittens almost identical to the pics of the ones posted the other night in the diary (the one where I commented they'd lost their feets). They both had long fur. One was all orange; the other had a little white on its belly and had white socks. My heart just melted, and I literally had to tell myself out loud to walk away.

If those kitties looked similar to those precious babies that looked like slippers, I don't know how in the world you had the strength to walk away. I know one day you won't be able to and there will be an addition to the Swisher household ;D

This kitty who refuses to play any game that involves apologies must belong to someone who works in the Bush administration.

Oh my goodness..I've seen your kittie's picture before as a baby and as a grown boy, but when I found this picture I didn't even remember seeing Mickey. As a baby he looks like a twin of kitten in pic. Time to get a twin Mickey! ;D

Well, Los Angeles is none the worse after that 5.4 earthquake yesterday. You all know who Judge Judy is. When the shaking started, she was in the courtroom while taping an episode of her courtroom drama. I've never seen the judge get concerned, but as soon as she realized what was happening, she got up off her chair and made a dash for the door. The only one left in the courtroom, after most of the people ran out, was the plaintiff, a young woman who looked around wondering where everyone was going as she looked determined that her case would be heard to it's conclusion. Her boyfriend/husband tried to get her to leave the courtroom, but she wouldn't budge. A funny scene to say the least. With the judge safely out of the room and this young woman standing there alone. Anyway..here's the pooties of the day..

I saw that clip of Judge Judy and the earthquake. It would have been enough to humble any lawyer. Turns out there's actually something more powerful than a judge.
Those pootie pictures sure are a "feast" for the "mind's eye" to borrow a term from rory. Yummy and thanks.
But where's the big cat? That one from Kos last night would do nicely. My, my, my, my, my.

That first pic is just like one I dreamed about the other night, although in the dream the little kitty looked like my Blackadder--

Oh poor kitty, what a terrible thing to do to a cat. So wrong, but she is precious. I've never seen a cat this big in person.

Reminds me of a Louis Untermeyer story called "The Kitten Who Barked." About a puppy raised by cats, who only realizes it's a dog when it barks and scares off some sort of predator.

Those white tigers are beautiful. But what kind of complex will the Jesus cat have, do you suppose? Cats aren't supposed to like water, much less walk on it or turn it into wine. Or is that just an ignorant myth perpetrated by can neophytes like me?

Or is that just an ignorant myth perpetrated by can neophytes like me? Depends on the cat, though house cats generally don't like to get wet I've seen them wade into ponds to get at the fish, or reach into the fish tank at home. Wish I had a cat who could turn water into wine...

I might be obtuse here (might?), but how would the dog realize it? Wouldn't it just think that's what a cat was supposed to do?

No. At the end of the story the pup announces, "I'm a dog. A big, bad, fearless DOG!" (He was a Yorkie, so allowing for exaggeration. . .)

Now that is a good question. Will these babies imprint with this doggie?
