Ditto! not only great but this event did indeed show how much we like him. Standing with former VP Al Gore made for a very strong image of two strong men. I have always, and will always love former President Clinton. He has been a 'bad boy' and a 'nasty boy' LOL!, but he is a wonderful man where it counts.

Chris Matthews interviewed Dan Balz and Haynes Johnson, the authors of "The Battle for America 2008" on Hardall this evening. The line of the night, for me, was when Chris asked them why John McCain chose Palin as his running mate. It was a LoL moment when he asked if the McCain advisers thought that Palin was "secretly deep". "Obviously shallow" fits her so much better.

The most interesting thing about this is that Bill Clinton did not say a word to the press when they landed in Burbank. Obviously, he rightly judged that this was not supposed to be about him, and he said nothing to upstage Al Gore, President Obama, or his wife. Very impressive.

Thanks for the reminder.

Hi, y'all. I'm not watching, but thought I'd drop by. I think Mom's watching Iron Chef America. I keep thinking I hear Alton Brown's voice.
Moon, how was your trip?

Hi, Moon. I'm so glad you made it home in time. I made it home in record time, which surprised me. I had been on the phone most of the way back, and when I looked at the clock, I had driven about 60 miles in about 50 minutes. Scary.

Hi, Linda. Still terribly hot in SA?
(Getting that way here by the weekend. High of 93 Saturday. And humid. Dog days.)

Wow. Down home your nickname would be Leadfoot. Ask Beam. By the way, I was getting passed by everyone the second half of the trip because I slowed down a little when a car hit the shoulder in front of me, so I turned off my cruise control and just drove the rest of the way.
