If we've had this before, I apologize. No apologies necessary Moon. Even if we had it before, it still looks delish!

One more cake. This one reminds me of the cake I had last night. It was lemon -- pretty tart -- with buttercream frosting and strawberries, with a side of whipped cream and more strawberries. Despite the way it sounds, it was really very light.

Surely he's only just started doing this or Krista would have mentioned it. Did I happen to tell you, I think the name Edward R. Murrow and see David Strathairn? That movie messed me up.

Yesterday Michael and I went to see "The Stoning of Soraya" and were very affected by it. It tells the true story of an Iranian woman whose husband wanted to divorce his wife in order to marry a 14 year-old whose father was very rich. Soraya refused to give him a divorce, so he, the mayor and the imam got their heads together and came up with a plan to get rid of her. Had this story been history, it would have been an indicator of how far we've come. Instead, it was modern day. It's amazing to me, that wars are fought for oil and the like, and yet human rights are of no concern to so many. The movie is very informative and I urge you to see it. One proviso, the final scenes are very graphic. Luckily, I had taken a sweater which I used to cover my eyes.

One more thing I took away from the movie is that we shouldn't become smug. Recent events have shown that in some families here in the US, racism has been passed on through generations. Manipulation is also evident.

Patty, has your mom heard her latest test results? Yes and it is mixed news. The brain tumors (5 in total). 3 have shrunk and 2 have stabilized (not grown). But her other scan shows that she now has tumors in her other lung. And last night I got the call that they have placed her in a rehab facility because she is so weak that she can barely walk. The weakness is an after effect of the whole brain radiation, but she does not seem to be doing any better even though the radiation is done. Her case seems eerily similar to your friend's case. They both need our prayers. Here go my thoughts and prayers Patty. My best to your mom.
