We were casting about for a theme, when out of the blue our Moon asked, "What goes with cupcakes?" I answered, "ANYTHING goes--" And that is how, on a Monday at the end of August, when the health care debate rages on, Carbuncle on the Ass of Humanity Cheney and his daughter both froth at the mouth at the mention of DOJ torture investigations, and Sen. Kennedy is surely nearing the Irish heaven, the Isles of the Blessed, we wind up with cupcakes, and Cole Porter, opening with the immortal Ethel Merman singing her signature tune "Anything Goes" (a 1979 performance of the 1934 musical of the same name): www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zJ3vqkXqRUMore where that came from, BTW--we still got The Sons of the Pioneers, Vaughn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and Thomas Hampson coming up-- Wanna blog? (And no, dear Prince Big Man, Lady Fair is not watching, bad girl that she is.

"Bad girls" doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere near our goal of appearing on WPitW. We need a new name.

Hi, ladies. I don't know whether I'll be able to stay this evening. I finally figured out how to do a backup and my computer is running really slow. God knows what happened as the backups used to be automatic. To cut a long story short, it hasn't been backed up since March 1st. Wish me luck.

As usual, I'm out of the room where the TV is. Sounds like Mom is watching something on Food Network.

NOW you've got my attention. I did find an interesting cupcake image online, but the actual photo had been deleted by the puritans at Photobucket.

Can Teddy Jr. take the Massachusetts seat when he lives in Connecticut? I think he'll have to do like Hill C (and for that matter his uncle Bobby)--move in and establish residency, which takes hardly any time. That's if he wants to get ELECTED from MA--but rumors spreading, are they not, he might be recruited from CT to run against Lieberman?

That's more important than being the next liberal to replace his dad. Ed Markey would do nicely. I get a kick thinking about how John Kerry finally became the senior senator. A long time coming for him. Not that the price was worth it.

A long time coming for him. Not that the price was worth it. Getting Lieberman out of the Senate? Way more important. And Ed Markey, if he's the one I think he is, would make a good jr. senator. And yes, it's been a long time coming for Kerry. I just hope he steps in and becomes a lion in his turn.

When did that it ever get me anywhere? Okay, except for that time with Clooney.
