What are we talking about tonight? That thing with the woman in the wheelchair was a travesty. I'm sure those folks all thing they're Christian. Yep. That's what makes them so appalling. One reason I argue that faith in an unseen god is not a prerequisite for ethically and morally good behavior. If anything, that very belief makes some people smug, self-righteous, and utterly lacking in compassion.

Katie, I'm not ignoring your music. I generally listen to your postings later in the evening.

Like I mentioned at Much Ado today, it's amazing what you can find when you mix up your searches on the google. I was NOT looking for cheesecake. Unless the fact that there is a standing order in my world for cheesecake counts for anything.

Lawrence O'Donnell has been a guest on many MSNBC shows lately. I hope they do have a spot for his own show. He's one of my favorites, but he can get a little caustic with folks who he thinks are not up to speed. He does slice and dice, however. We need more folks like that. Much as I like Countdown, that's not a skill he displays most of the time. True on both counts.

Katie, I'm not ignoring your music. I generally listen to your postings later in the evening. That's fine, Linda. A lot of them I only listen to as I'm actually linking them! That trip to the vile morass that is Wally World put me a bit behind in my research today.

Very Interesting. Beautiful images and you get a real sense of leaves blowing down from the trees in waves and swirling around. For some reason it made me think of the 31 Days of Halloween. I had forgotten about Roger Williams. The Ferante and Teicher I remembered.

Incidentally, in that class clown voting thing, Craig was at 42%, still well short of a simple majority, last I looked. I told him he needed a campaign song down the stretch and got roundly ignored for my pains. He seems to think that Contessa Brewer's cleavage--uh, endorsement--will put him over the top. I say Milbank, who was leading until Craig began campaigning on the baloney ticket, will probably protest. I plan to ask him about it if he livechats tomorrow.

She does seem to have a gravity about her that was seen to be lacking in Katie Couric who was herself put through 7 kinds of hell at first.

Not absolutely sure about that, although she does have a good deal of experience and among networks will be stepping into a broadcast that is a solid second place and has, I think, occasionally beaten Brian Williams in the ratings. Is she ABC's senior newsperson after Charlie--I mean in terms of having been with the network longest? (And I know Barbara Walters has been there longer but I don't think she was ever in the running for this job.)

With a menu like this, it's hard to know when to start serving dessert. Hey, Fair, did you know the Packers are playing the Titans right now?

People in general are not buying so the shelves aren't stacked as high as they used to be. There used to be an awfully claustrophobic feel that I couldn't handle.

Well, some things just can't be helped. Did you find anything interesting there? Actually, yes. You know those little books of crafts and recipes people like Pillsbury and Taste of Home and Campbells' & etc. put out for sale at Halloween and Christmas? I collect those, and I found my first two Halloween ones of the season today. Lots of fun.

Of course, unlike most people's balogna, my balogna has a first name.

BIL called Sis just as we were getting home from Wally World to tell her that if the Princess wanted to watch any TV tonight, she had to do it before he got home to watch the game. ;D Mom's watching IRON CHEF AMERICA at the moment though. We're waiting for UT's opener against Western KY on Sat.
