Very Interesting. Beautiful images and you get a real sense of leaves blowing down from the trees in waves and swirling around. For some reason it made me think of the 31 Days of Halloween. I had forgotten about Roger Williams. The Ferante and Teicher I remembered. I've got a poem about that I may post at Fair one day. Meanwhile, still slogging away at 31 Days. One new story added, working on another, and got another ready to put in Word once I find a picture of a cowboy in black on a black horse.

I don't think either team is playing seriously. But to redeem myself for that last dessert, which I admit was absolutely unacceptable, how's this?

That's fine, Linda. A lot of them I only listen to as I'm actually linking them! That trip to the vile morass that is Wally World put me a bit behind in my research today. Our Wally World has improved as have other stores. People in general are not buying so the shelves aren't stacked as high as they used to be. There used to be an awfully claustrophobic feel that I couldn't handle. Ours still is that way. The aisles are narrow, especially in the food section, and when it's crowded (it always is on the first and third of the month, when people get their SS checks) it is indeed claustrophobic.

Hmmmm. I do believe I said that Fredo would recant. Not claiming credit because any fool could have forecast that. What I don't get is why these guys keep trying it in the first place. They either end up humiliated like Greenspan and now Ridge, or marginalized if they don't recant, like Colin Powell and Scott McClellan.

Here's what I see whenever anyone mentions Glenn Beck. RUUNNNNNNNN .......................... LOL. I know they've got another name, but around here we always called those "pinch bugs." Aren't they technically something like stag beetles?

Incidentally, in that class clown voting thing, Craig was at 42%, still well short of a simple majority, last I looked. I told him he needed a campaign song down the stretch and got roundly ignored for my pains. He seems to think that Contessa Brewer's cleavage--uh, endorsement--will put him over the top. I say Milbank, who was leading until Craig began campaigning on the baloney ticket, will probably protest. I plan to ask him about it if he livechats tomorrow. I think fried baloney is the best. Of course, unlike most people's balogna, my balogna has a first name. Mine has only a last name: Fischer's.

I know you're not listening Katie, but Beck sounds as though he's about to have a very pleasurable experience. Skin crawlingly so.

Now THIS is a little outre--the Swedish singer Bjork doing a Mercer song called "I Remember You." Mercer, according to his Wiki, wrote the song in 1941, while he was having a torrid affair with a 19 year old singer who had just changed her name from Frances Gumm to Judy Garland. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMGXI4ZQRiE

I want to know how they make those chocolate noodles. I've seen them do it on Food Network--they run them through a pasta machine, just like pasta.

AND harp or whatever that is playing behind. Great picture, too.
