AKA Cryin' Fowl, take two. Joe Wilson was subjected to a "resolution of disapproval" on the House floor this PM, by a vote of 240-179. I have no doubt that somewhere, he's still cryin' foul-- But that doesn't translate well in pictures or music. The homophone of "foul" is "fowl" i.e. birds. Lots of pics, music, foods about birds. So our opening piece of music is one Blackadder and Mom would approve of for me. They labor under a delusion that I constantly make mock of public figures like Joe Wilson, Di*ck Cheney, the dastardly Mark Wheeler--and even the Big Man. Here's Chet Atkins's version of an 1855 classic--"Listen to the Mockingbird" which Chet calls "Hot Mockin' Bird". www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXrIUcS3hHYAnd--shock of shock--Lady Fair IS watching tonight. Craig is scheduled to be on, and TM loyalty forbids I should miss. (Now there she goes, makin' mock of Craig. She's EVIL!!! So shouts Blackadder.) And the Big Man's tie is purple. Wanna blog?

Absolutely. My TV's fixed, and Countdown's tie is purple. I don't have mockingbird -- at least not yet -- but I DO have pheasant ... albeit not under glass. Sorry, Fair. Will braised pheasant be okay?

Good evening, Linda. How is everyone this evening? It's absolutely beautiful here. Lower 80s today, but about to cool down.

It's about 90 I think. I deleted the Weather Channel from my comp. It's running so slow so I'm trying to get rid of non-essentials.

No hot mockingbird, but a couple of tall, cool ones, for those so inclined. And the next course, duck saveur ...

Will braised pheasant be okay? Hi, ladies. Hope you had a good day. Braised pheasant is fine. Spork, please? And trust Mr. Jimmy to be the only former president who will come out and call the far right's attacks on Obama racist. The Bushes certainly won't. Although I understand perhaps Uncle Tweety did too?

Yes, you'd have been proud of Chris. And three cheers for Pres. Carter-a true southern white gentleman.

Perhaps on Thursday on Jon Stewart's show.

I don't doubt that there's some racial undercurrent to the far right's attacks on President Obama. Imagine if Hillary Clinton had been elected. Same thing, different -ism.

It's about 90 I think. I deleted the Weather Channel from my comp. It's running so slow so I'm trying to get rid of non-essentials. Get this. The cable guy was here two minutes, pressed a button on the front of the TV, stepped back and presto, change-o, everything worked perfectly again. But when I called, the tekkies couldn't tell me that. No wonder Charter is in bankruptcy. After he fixed the TV, I made him take out my digital cable box, so I can get picture in picture again. I love that. I won't need the digital cable box until next year, and then I may just get a new TV.

I absolutely agree with you, Moon. All the talk that is now going on about race would have been going on about women in government.

Moving on to turkey ... I didn't want every dish to look the same, so I went with the turkey tacos.

I read about that idiot who wants to charge victims of domestic violence more in insurance premiums--WHAT AN EFFIN' MAROON he is. And no doubt GOP. That's their kind of logic.

Of course, the GOP don't beat their women, they're too busy screwing around with the piece on the side. As far as women who are beaten up, they should have known their place in the household and done their master's bidding.

God, this is depressing. So I'm going with a sweet song from Jim Ed Brown and his sister Maxine, from the early fifties: "I Heard the Bluebirds Sing." www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRwVVWEIuIQ

LoL Do namby-pamby, closet-gay, liberal men really fit the pattern of domestic abusers? As for doing our masters' bidding, first we need masters.
