Got it, got it, got it!! How about an oldfashioned John Wayne western--"The Peeps of Katie Elder"?
Or maybe "The Peep Who Shot Liberty Valance"--
Or an Irish one--"The Quiet Peep" with peeps in the John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara roles?
Or even Marilyn Monroe--"Gentlemen Prefer Peeps"--
I think maybe I better stop while I'm ahead. I'm not good at this--I'm even visualizing "The Peep in Winter"--

But if gentlemen preferred peeps, Eliot Spitzer would still be governor of New York.

I don't think any of us mentioned these before--I was telling my niece Miss A about the peeps things and she suggested "The Peeps of Wrath" and "Lord of the Peeps"--
And why not a Marx Bros. comedy--say, "Peep Soup"?

I called through your door, "The mystics are gathering in the streets. Come out!"
Leave me alone. I'm sick."
"I don't care if you're dead! Jesus is here, and he wants to resurrect somebody!"

The drug overdose deaths of so many is truly sad. I am not familiar with Corinne Bailey Rae, but hope she will get through this tragedy. Thanks for sharing Moon.

LOL! Moon. You've about covered them all. I couldn't add more. Just don't go get tempted to eat one. I've never tasted one, don't know if I would, maybe out of curiosity. They probably taste like marshmallow something. As popular as they are, and as long as they've been around, somebody must like them. I like Breakfast at Peep's set to Moon River. I think that will work fine. I'm just kidding about nobody liking them. My daughter ALWAYS loved them and insisted they be included in her Easter basket (after she found out the truth about the bunny, of course). I've even eaten one or two, although they're not my favorite candy. Here's an interesting article from Newsweek on which Easter candies are most fattening. Not surprisingly, peeps are high on the list. www.newsweek.com/id/124447What I thought was really funny from the story this morning is the peep artist who showed a "neon-colored" peep piece he created about 10 years ago. Apparently, they've found a way to make them last forever. One more movie title -- Peepless in Seattle. All right, two -- Run Silent, Run Peep. Picture a peep in the Clark Gable role. LoL Have a glorious day with your brother, Laura. Had a great time with my brother thanks! Wow! the calorie count on all my favorite Easter candies is so high. Kind of takes all the fun out of just grabbing a handful..and the fall list of most fattening stuff. With the exception of the "Turducken" everything else I love. Since it's only once a year and only one meal I eat with all the goodies, I don't feel so bad digging in.

Here's something very sad -- the husband of Corinne Bailey Rae was found dead in London -- he was 31 years old -- a drug overdose was suspected -- For those who are not familiar with Corinne Bailey Rae, she's a very interesting jazz singer and a Grammy nominee for her first album (Corinne Bailey Rae). Good songs ... my personal favorite -- Like a Star. I'm sad to hear this. Hope she's holding up ok. Here's the words to my favorite song of hers. Three little birds, sat on my window. And they told me I don't need to worry. Summer came like cinnamon So sweet, Little girls double-dutch on the concrete. Maybe sometimes, we've got it wrong, but it's alright The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same Oh, don't you hesitate. Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down. You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow. Blue as the sky, sunburnt and lonely, Sipping tea in the bar by the roadside, (just relax, just relax) Don't you let those other boys fool you, Got to love that afro hair do. Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change. Don't you think it's strange? Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down. You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow. 'Twas more than I could take, pity for pity's sake Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger When you gonna realise, that you don't even have to try any longer? Do what you want to. Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down. Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song You go ahead, let your hair down Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams, Just go ahead, let your hair down. Oh, you're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

Aunt Ornery --
Thanks for those Corinne Bailey Rae lyrics -- that entire album is great -- one of my all-time favorites. She is truly a treasure. I hope she weathers this tragedy.

Gee, do you think it was the sword that tipped off the Capitol Cops? I see where Ms. Clinton the younger put the smack-down on some media types over at Butler U. (go Bulldogs!). Good for her! Pretty campus, Butler. Do they still let people sled on the hill behind the fieldhouse, Krista?

I see that this Gorbey dude intends to represent himself in court. As some lurid true crime writer once put it, in the tradition of all great madmen-- Sounds garden-variety gun kook to me. And the conventional wisdom actually works better than the great madmen analogy--any man who chooses to represent himself in court has a fool for a client.

Another home-grown terrorist, like Timothy McVey. One of the creepiest was the Unabomber. This guy got away for such a long time. If it hadn't been for his brother who found his manifesto, gave it to the cops and they discovered who he was, he still would not have been found out. We don't need foreign terrorists, we've got plenty right here. Street gangs, everyday criminals, all terrorists.

www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/03/26/obit.widmark.ap/index.htmlWe've lost another one from Hollywood's Golden Age--actor Richard Widmark. An Oscar nominee for his role in 1947's KISS OF DEATH, he is probably best known for playing Jim Bowie in John Wayne's THE ALAMO, and as the American prosecutor in JUDGEMENT AT NUREMBERG. His performance in that film--I've sat through it three times, even though it's over three hours long--was brilliant even in a film distinguished by brilliant performances. Widmark was 93.

Thanks for that Moon..smart critters. One of the most fascinating things I've seen are sea otters in Monterey CA, my favorite place anywhere. Early in the morning the critters are seen diving for sea urchins. Once they find one, they get a rock, float on their back, pound that urchin until it cracks and has breakfast. If they have a baby, they share, of course. This goes on for hours. A beautiful sight first thing in the morning.
