I, too, have doubts but it was amazing to watch. Sad, too, about the cub.

Great. I hope you won't mind stopping at the grocery store on the way home to pick up some kibble.

;)Michelle Obama mentioned that the Obama's new dog, Bo, is "sort of crazy," and had awakened them the other night by making noise playing with his toys. video.yahoo.com/network/100000086?v=4875644Get used to it, Madame First Lady.

ET go home. That being said, I find the whole thing a bit scary. I convinced my 16-year-old to read Huxley's Brave New World, then of his own volition he sought out Brave New World Revisited. What if Huxley were around today? I wonder what he would think of all "this?" It is rather scary. Ha! Now he is reading 1984! I just read a scary thriller (Michael Palmer's The First Patient) where they were giving people targeted doses of nanoparticles that could be triggered by remote frequencies to kill or mentally incapacitate, depending on what area of the brain they targeted. It would be great to target a specific tumor site for treatment, but you can see where the potential for abuse comes in there, too. Nanobots and genetic engineering both have enormous potential for good and evil, literally. The wave of the financial future with enormous amounts of money and power up for grabs, and the fields are both making advances at a rate unbelievable even a decade ago. I enjoy being able to treat my minor aches and pains, but one of the reasons our planet is groaning under the weight right now is our advances in medical science this past century. Maybe we weren't meant to outlive the natural lifespan of our teeth or joints or cardiovascular systems. Heck, who knows, maybe we weren't meant to eat meat. I know we weren't meant to squander resources, but I am starting to wander far afield here. Terrible and wonderful things, now and to come.

I made the mistake of playing this late last night... it came on very loud, and then I laughed even louder, and my poor spouse got out of bed to see what the racket was...
