Hey, Moon, I don't think we've heard this one before. It was sung by Colm Wilkinson (one of the guys who sang at Ted Kennedy's wake) in the original production of LES MISERABLES, but Hampson does it pretty good too. And at Father Bush's request no less. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eKRCN3l7RkListening right now. What I like about Hampson is how genuine his smile is. He really, really loves what he does. And that touch of silver at the temple doesn't hurt, either.

Double the health food content here ... dark chocolate and blueberries. I'm sorry if I'm remiss tonight. Trying to watch AND listen to the music.

Another aria from Luciano Pavarotti--this one is from TOSCA, and is sung by Tosca's lover, Mario Cavaradossi, as he awaits execution. Another that will give you cold chills. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQiH5bpoff4

This has nothing to do with the show, but it is one heck of a photograph.

And I agree, the silver doesn't hurt.

And here's a little something in thanks for all the hard work you do putting these lovely musical selections together night after night.

It's not hard--just a matter of going where my heart and ear lead me.

There is something so heartrendingly sad about it--because this is a young man who loves life and loves his Tosca and is about to lose both because he was loyal to a friend.

Uh--babe--yer woofin', right? Nope. I want to know what she's up to. Like people who watch O'Reilly or listen to Rush. Woman to woman.

Wildly out of season, but Hampson does sing Christmas music awful pretty. This is a German carol, accompanied by the Vienna Boys Choir. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbQiQ5tBhvIShould you ever have the opportunity, pick up a copy of his CD CHRISTMAS WITH THOMAS HAMPSON. It was the first one of his CDs I ever bought, and still my favorite.

I first saw Messiah when I was about 11 years old at the Halle Hall in Manchester. Sir John Barbirolli was the conductor. Please don't ask me what I had for dinner yesterday. ;D
