I'm sorry that the man has died, but I really couldn't stand listening to him. Thank goodness for the "mute" button. It was only on Friday that I saw one of his ads and was amazed at the weight loss. I think diet pills or the like was at the root of both the weight loss and the rapid-fire speech. Sometimes I scare myself. Nobody loses weight at the rate he did without drugs being involved. Billy Mays' autopsy shows that he had been taking cocaine.

Amen Auntie. Hard to believe Senator Kennedy is the last of the Kennedy siblings.

A very sad day for musicians. LP set contemporary music on its way.

RIP indeed..and I did not realize Les Paul is the father of guitar and is responsible for all the bands of today taking what he did and making up their music by his example. That is truly a wonderful legacy.

Same here Auntie. This sad news I heard just before I went to bed at 1:30 AM my time. It truly is a sad day for all of us. He had one thing he wanted so badly to accomplish before he died..getting the healthcare situation settled. I believe if he had been in good health he would have barreled through and helped President Obama get the lead out of the Rethugs to agree to go with at least part of the plan. Now without the good Senator to help the people..God only knows what will happen. His passing is truly the end of the Kennedy dynasty. He will be missed

It is sad, Laura. I've been watching his new series and had noticed how thin he had become.

It must be because we're getting older that so many of those who've passed away recently seem to be so dear in the heart.

RIP to Ellie Greenwich and Dominick Dunne. A great songwriter and a great chronicler of true crime.

Fair reminded me that if we're going to drink, we'll need some protein. So here's a lovely corned beef and cabbage ... And a very nice Irish stew ... Anchored with some Irish soda bread ... And some Champ (irish potatoes) ...

For anyone who wants a drink alternative, we also have a wonderful single malt Irish whiskey called Connemara ... And for the wusses among us (me) ... a Guinness float ...

Not a famous celebrity, but she was a celebrity to me.
My mom passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 4th. I am so glad that I decided to move my trip to Arizona up by a week. When I arrived, my mom was still able to verbalize somewhat and recognized people. As the week went on, she slept more and did not seem to be able to speak. But before she passed, all her children had arrived. She was surrounded by love, and her passing was peaceful. My tribute to my mom will be to take as good of care of my dad as he did of her.
Rest in peace Mom. I love you and will miss you forever.

It's been easy to see how much you loved your mother, and all of those memories of the life you shared will sustain you now. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. God bless and Godspeed.
