Patty, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. It is a hurt that will become easier to bear as time passes, but it will always remain. Please give my condolences to your dad and the other members of your family.

I remember Henry Gibson best with his appearances on the beverley hillbillies in 1964 as grannies favorite cowboy (Quirt Manley )and how upset she was to find him so short. Even episodes of Boston Legal played on this. RIP Henry. You've had a long career and have earned the rest.

So many of that generation passing so quickly -- I can't keep up. I met Henry a few years back at a comedy festival. He was the same person offstage as you saw on stage -- unassuming, funny, quizzical, approachable. I learned belatedly that he was a fan of old theaters and regretted that I didn't have time to give him a tour of the really haunted theater in J-town.
