I've got news for you, Lawrence O ... Hillary Clinton's supporters and John Edwards' supporters who voted for President Obama all had health care first and foremost in their minds. He needed them to beat John McCain, and he'll need them to get re-elected in 2012. And a certain number of people who were originally Obama supporters -- including this person -- think this is a VERY big deal, especially the public option. If Obama loses this fight, then the blood is in the water, and heaven help us all. You're spot on, moon!! If we give this away, we have truly lost and it will be over - no more chances!! There is no waffling on the public option; I've been po'd at Obama's refusal to investigate BushCo and other things, but this will be IT!! If he caves, I will stay home in 2012!! I always loved Jerry Brown, but when he caved on reforming the Three-Strikes law in California several years ago and appeared in TV ads with reTHUGS lying and scaring people, I couldn't believe the Jerry Brown I knew, loved and thought would NEVER sell out, did- just to become California's AG!! I didn't vote for him; I'll never vote for him again; I feel just as strongly on this!!

Okay, back to the meatballs. A lovely, light turkey meatball soup. If soup can look refreshing-this one does.

Nice to see you, patty!! You've been in my thoughts; how is your mom? It is day to day but I am trying to keep positive thoughts. I will probably speak with my Dad in a couple of hours after he goes home from the rehab facility that my mom is in. Thanks for asking.

Hi, Pam. Hey, the Chianti sounds fine. But we need some more music. How about this pc. I just posted at my music blog (which I am going to shamelessly pimp after I post this link?) Charlie Rich from 1974, ladies, with "You Never Really Wanted Me". www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgO-Z6qa-uMI began the music blog two weeks ago or thereabout. It's at fairweathersmusic.blogstream.com and is called Music! Music! Music! after an old Teresa Brewer song.

Even though, as an Edwards supporter in the beginning, it seemed and still seems to me that Elizabeth was much more passionate about healthcare than Johnny Reid ever thought of being. He was, as events since have shown, a bit distracted, no doubt.

Hey Moon-what do you think about Favre coming out of retirement? Don't ask. I'm known to bite. Seriously? He never meant to retire. He just hates to go to training camp. That was the true genesis of what drove him out of Green Bay last year. If he'd committed to coming back, he would have had to come to training camp. The Packers were unwilling to wait. Same thing this year. Lucky Vikings. Not.

Hey Moon-what do you think about Favre coming out of retirement? I know I'm not "moon " - HECK, there is only ONE moon - but I wasn't thrilled - and the Vikings?? Aren't they big-time rivals with the Packers? I always liked Favre but this is a bit much, now; actually, I watched an interview he did last year about how the Packers wouldn't release him and he sounded so angry!! I don't know; it's just my opinion....sorry, I know you didn't ask for it but when I heard it on the radio today, it did bother me!!

We had for a short time an oldies station in town that played a lot of Teresa Brewer's music.

I agree, and I always want athletes to retire when they're "at their best" so to speak, like John Elway did - even Joe Montana should have retired and not gone to Kansas City - it didn't hurt him, as I believe this could hurt Favre, but going out shining is something, I believe, is good for the player(s) and the fans!!
